Despite all the superficiality that accompanies each election cycle, there’s plenty of substance as well. You might have to dig to find it, but that’s nothing new.

I don’t link to today’s columnist often, but his work stands out. I remember the first piece of his I read, long before this site existed, and I wished more columnists like him existed. I’ve been pleased to learn over the past few years that they do exist. Now I just wish I’d dug for them sooner.
