Last week, after Robert Hur’s Congressional testimony, I linked to a column on the proceedings written before they even took place. I did this because I wanted to highlight how spot on the columnist was in cautioning his party to take a measured approach to the hearings. Those who heeded his advice came off as serious and credible. Those who didn’t damaged their fellow committee members by giving the other side unflattering soundbites.
Today, I’m featuring another column by the same author to drive home just how good he is. I’d argue that no matter your political bent, he’s worth reading. Those in his own party can read him to hone their arguments. Those in the other party can read him to see the opposition’s view without being insulted. This is commentary as it ought to be — productive for everyone.
