Over the past year, one of the more persistent questions in Democratic politics has been, “Why do we have such a large disparity between voters’ poor views of the economy and the economy’s strong performance?” I linked to a great column on this a few months ago, but today’s is even better. It’s a bit of a deep dive in places, but it’s worth reading to the end. As elusive as answers in politics can be, today’s author does a brilliant job of tracking this one down.
