I’ve made no secret in the past of my admiration for Chris Stirewalt. He’s the Ruy Teixeira of the right, counseling his party’s elders and messengers against excess. In other words, he’s an optimist. I don’t say that dismissively. It’s an honorable and refreshing thing to be in today’s world, especially when it’s so needlessly out of style. It’s also the perfect way to close out the week. So here you are — the great and justifiably optimistic Chris Stirewalt.
