Amidst the glut of books about the Trump presidency, two stand head and shoulders above the rest. “Front Row at the Trump Show” and “Betrayal” are both by Jonathan Karl of ABC News, and they are both stellar accounts of the Trump administration. Karl’s books are so impressive because in addition to holding the administration accountable, he also holds some of his fellow journalists accountable. He saw the damage their constant hair-on-fire coverage of Trump was doing to the credibility of the press, and he has no patience for it. He knows the job of a journalist is to be oppositional without being the opposition, and that dedication to objectivity gives his books — and his reporting — the credibility so many others lack.

This coming Tuesday, November 14th, Karl’s third book on Trump — “Tired of Winning” — will be released. Our link today is an excerpt from the book, featured in The Dispatch. Love or hate what Karl has to say, it’s worth reading all the same because Karl’s reputation is a guarantee it’s true. What more can we ask for?
